At Sunstate Academy, we believe our instructors should never stop learning. All instructors are encouraged to become Master Educators through Milady's Career Institute.

A Master Educator is an instructor who has completed advanced training with Milady's Career Institute for higher education instruction. Milady's Career Institute was developed, by Cengage, to offer an Instructor Training Program, which upon completion, certifies instructors as Master Educators.

To obtain the Master Educator certification, the instructor is required to take twelve modules, which covers a variety of higher education teaching topics and techniques. These topics include strategies for understanding adult learners, classroom management, active learning, technology in the classroom, teaching special populations, and many more. Each module can take seven to ten hours to complete.

Similar to the Milady program, massage instructors are encouraged to take the ABMP-LWW Massage Instructor Portfolio Program. Program participants have completed advanced courses for higher education instruction. The program consists of topics related to exploration of learning styles, creating lesson plans based on constructivism, whole-brain thinking, social cognition and brain-based learning, instructional methods, and many more.
