Relay For Life
Sunstate Academy students will be providing chair massages and face painting at the Clearwater Relay For Life. This is the 3rd year Sunstate Academy is participating in the event. Currently attending students, staff and faculty will be at participating.

Icon Shears
Brittany Simmons with Icon Sheers will be conducting a class on sheer handling, types of shears for specific styles, sheer cleaning and certification. This class will be open to introduction and intermediate students.

Design Essentials
Design Essentials will be teaching a class on relaxers and working with ethnic hair. This class is open to all currently attending students.

Make-Up Class
Heather Arledge with Bruce Todd Salon will be presenting a class on airbrush make-up, brush application and trendy looks. This class will be held in the clinic rotation room and all students are welcome to attend.

Managing Your Finances
Jeanne Weis with Wells Fargo will be providing a workshop on how to better manage your finances and make smart money decisions. This class will be held in the clinic rotation room and is open to introduction students.

Customer Focus
Sunstate Academy’s faculty member Edwina “Eddy” Sullivan will be presenting a class on the 5 C’s, professionalism and looking the part. Ms. Eddy has been teaching for over 25 years. Her professional experience includes corrective coloring, senior prep for Rhode Island state board exams, licensed esthetics instructor and she has also owned and managed salons throughout the Rhode Island area. She has been teaching at Sunstate Academy for 7 years.
