Financial Aid

Sunstate Academy is a recognized participant in programs of student financial assistance supported by the U.S. Department of Education. The objective of these programs is to provide funds for students who wouldn't otherwise be able to continue with their education.

The amount of financial aid awarded is determined through an analysis of need. The awarding of the student financial assistance programs described below is conditioned on the availability of funds and eligibility of students who apply.

FEDERAL PELL GRANTS:

This is a federal aid program designed to make funds available to eligible students in approved schools. No repayment is required.

FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANTS:

These grants are only given to students with exceptional financial need who received Federal Pell Grants. No repayment is required.

UNSUBSIDIZED/SUBSIDIZED FEDERAL DIRECT STAFFORD/PLUS LOANS:

This program enables students/parents to borrow directly from the U.S. federal government in order to finance educational expenses.

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION:

Scholarships available include the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program and the Children of Deceased or Disabled Veterans or Children of Servicemen Classified as Prisoners of War or Missing in Action Scholarship.
