Sunstate Academy offers barber training from qualified instructors as well as the opportunity to experience what it's like working in a professional salon. At the end of the program, students will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to take the State Board exam. Plus, Sunstate Academy has relationships with top local barbers and salons looking to Sunstate to provide them with top hair stylists!

Barber-Styling Cosmetology Combination students will learn to perform the following on female and male clients:

• Haircutting and styling
• Perming & coloring
• Hair removal
• Beard and mustache trimming
• Hairpieces
• Relaxing & straightening
• Scalp treatments
• Shampooing
• Manicures and Pedicures
• Nail extensions
• Facials
• Make-up

Upon graduation and the passage of the Barber-Styling State Board Examination and passage of the Cosmetology State Board Examination, students will be qualified for positions as Barber Stylists, Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians, or Make-up artists.
