The Spa Therapies program combines skin care and massage therapy curriculum, which prepares students for a career in the health, wellness & beauty industry.

Students enrolled in the Spa Therapies program are taught the proper procedures behind the use of skin care techniques. Students also learn the methods of sanitation, sterilization, and knowledge of cells, tissues, organs and the systems of the body and their functions.

The Spa Therapies program prepares graduates for entry-level employment in the massage and skin care fields.

Spa Therapies students will learn to perform the following on female and male clients:

• Microdermabrasion
• Aromatherapy
• Make Up Artistry
• Color Application
• Hair Removal - Tweezing & Waxing
• Therapeutic Massage
• Masques

In addition to the core skin care and massage therapy courses, students learn business and client development techniques. Upon graduation from Sunstate Academy's Spa Therapies program and state licensure, students will be prepared for employment positions in the massage and skin care fields.
