Career Opportunities in Spa Therapies

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to work in a spa? You’d work in lovely, relaxing surroundings, meet friendly new people every day, and use your skills and talents to help clients look and feel their best. If that sounds like paradise to you, consider enrolling in a Spa Therapies program to prepare you for one of these career opportunities.

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists do invaluable work, reducing people’s pain and stress with their healing touch. In this “hands-on” career path, you’ll use your knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as a range of popular massage techniques such as hot stone, therapeutic, deep tissue, and Swedish massage. Massage therapists are always in demand in this increasingly stressful world, and this is a career you can feel good about.

Do you have a passion for skincare? A drawer full of the best moisturizers, serums, and cleansers? If so, a career as an esthetician might be your dream job. Estheticians evaluate each client’s skin to address their specific needs. They also administer facials and masks, do microdermabrasion and chemical peels, remove unwanted hair, sell skincare products and more. Helping people properly care for their skin and address issues is a much-needed service.

Spa Operations

There are many people that help a spa to run smoothly and efficiently – including management positions such as Spa Supervisor, Spa Operations or Treatments Manager, Assistant Spa Manager, and more. There are also a number of guest service positions including Spa Receptionist, Spa Coordinator, Spa Concierge and Guest Service Representative. A career in spa operations gives you the ability to grow into positions with increased responsibilities and pay.
